Transparent wax, Wax Clear
Transparent wax, Wax Clear
Chalk Paint transparent wax for color protection for interior projects.
Annie Sloan Wax Clear - the perfect partner and protective layer for Chalk Paint™. It's easy to work with and easy to get a fantastic result - use a cotton cloth (lint free) or a soft oval Annie Sloan Wax Brush to get to the reliefs and hard to reach places in the corners.
-
When you apply the wax, rub it into the top of the paint. Remove excess wax with a clean dry cotton cloth or paper towel. Gently, without pressing on the surface.
-
Less is better! Do not apply the wax thickly. The surface does not have to be greasy.
-
Work on small areas (no larger than 40x40 cm) in order to wipe off the excess wax before it starts to dry.
-
The wax dries "to non-stick" very quickly, but the hardening process is much longer.
-
The curing process lasts from 5 to 21 days, depending on the temperature in the room. Do not scratch or wash the surface during that time.
-
If you want to get a glossy surface, you need to polish the wax the next day with a clean cotton or woolen cloth.
-
Annie Sloan Wax becomes food safe after it has completely hardened. Decorative bowls, plates can be painted and waxed. However, the plates and cups we use for eating are not meant to be painted and decorated with Chalk Paint and wax.
-
Wash tools and hands immediately in warm water with dishwashing liquid.
