The paisley shape, synonymous with traditional Indian design, is inspired by the tropical mango, but is named after the town of Paisley in Scotland (where many Kashmiri scarves were made).

Annie Sloan stencils are made of durable, washable, clear plastic (250 micron Mylar), making them reusable for a variety of projects. Apply the paint through the stencil with a foam roller or a stencil brush, lightly stick the stencil with painter's tape. Other instructions and ideas are on the package.
