Formal Garden is an intricate botanical floral arrangement by Annie Sloan with the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) on decoupage paper. Pieter van Kouvenhoor (or Kouvenhoor) was a painter who flourished in the 1620s and 1630s in the Netherlands. The illustrations presented here by Annie Sloan are taken from van Kouwenhoon's collection of watercolor botanical illustrations dating from the 1630s, which celebrate popular day flowers. Here, stunning drawings of various flowers and florals from the period (available as Chalk Paint™ and Annie Sloan Wall Paint) are emphasized against a dramatic graphite background.
All of Annie Sloan's and the Royal Horticultural Society's collaborative papers, including geometric designs and flora and fauna, are printed on dyed tissue paper. They are designed to work best with Chalk Paint™ paint and Annie Sloan Image Medium glue.
